Northamptonshire Dyslexia Association (NDA) organise a Dyslexia Road Show, to support children and adults with Dyslexia.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you’re not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Meredith, 12 years old, decided for her summer vacation she would like to do something different, to give something back to society. She wanted to repay the support she (and us as parents) received from the Northamptonshire Dyslexia Association. Hiking 91 miles was her idea too! Her aim is to raise awareness and monies for the Northamptonshire Dyslexia Association, that will part fund a workshop in the autumn to help other children, parents and adults learn how to live with Dyslexia.
Planning to do it the hard way. True Hiking!
We have devised a route. We are going West to East so we can walk with sun on our backs and not in our eyes. We are expecting to complete the walk in 8 days (including a day of rest mid week to let the legs recover). We have decided to do things the hard way, by carrying all our own camping equipment. No support vehicle, no posted ahead belongings. We have bought the majority of the camping gear.
At half term we spent two separate days walking in Cumbria to stretch our legs. To see if we could do the miles expected of us every day. This weekend we are going to take the next step; consecutive days and camping over night. Look out for our photos on Facebook (@HadriansWall4NDA) or twitter #hadrianswall4NDA.
